Waltz with Bashir, 2008.

Animated documentary feature film written, produced and directed by Ari Folman.

This is where the three of us first met.

David led the production design, Michael —recruited straight out of art school, helped with the drawings (and ended up drawing quite a lot), and Roiy did visual effects and compositing for the entire film.

It was a thrill to work on the first full-length animated feature ever produced in Israel, and it was an amazing, captivating adventure. Even so, none of us expected the massive impact Waltz with Bashir would have on such a global scale, or the millions of people worldwide who would be touched by this film.

Waltz with Bashir premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film, the NSFC Award for Best Film, a César Award for Best Foreign Film, and an IDA Award for Feature Documentary. It was also an Academy Award Nominee for the Best Foreign Language Film.
