The Congress, 2013.

 

Live-action/animated Sci-Fi film written and directed by Ari Folman, starring Robin Wright, John Hamm, Paul Giamatti and Harvy Keitel.

David was the production designer in both the live and animated parts of the film, and Roiy supervised the special effects. This meant the two of them found themselves traveling to Venice, Los Angeles, and working with Hollywood professionals on a movie set. That was a wild, exciting ride.

Michael joined The Congress team as a concept and background artist for the animated part of the film, designed in Ari Folman’s studio in Jaffa.

The film premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and won the European Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
