Ascent, 2018.
An animated video installation for the Israeli pavilion at the 2018 Venice Biennale of Architecture.

Potemkin animation studio helped to make it happen: David and Roiy were commissioned to create a large projection for the central space of the pavilion, depicting a temporary bridge that spans between the Jewish and Muslim areas on Temple Mount.

The idea was to try and capture the extreme religious-political tension surrounding the Temple Mount —the constant pressure bubbling underneath the surface, always on the verge of explosion. Curated by Ifat Finkelman, Deborah Pinto Fdeda, Oren Sagiv,  and Tania Coen-Uzzielli.
